Bajan Queen Shines at AMA Awards!

When you have got a body like Rihanna’s flaunt it right? YES!!!

The Barbadian born Queen rocked some pretty amazing outfits at the annual event; American Music Awards just last Sunday night. Both outfits kept in the area of being black and chic and the singer, as usual,  pulled them off exceptionally well.

The outfit which was showcased in French avant-garde designer, Jean Paul Gaultier’s SS13 couture collection, was originally a runway look that the  singer took and made it her own. The design done by Gaultier was donned with a sheer long sleeved top. Rihanna decided that just the bralet and maxi skirt would have done her justice and correct she was. The star wore the sequined bralet and sheer lace, embellished  maxi skirt, opting to not wear the full runway look which included the sheer long sleeved top.

The detailing of the skirt gave for an amalgamation of textures, as it had lace detailing, along with sequins and patchwork embroidered corset, just to give that extra feel of punky-chic. The start complimented the look with accessories. Her collection of jewels came courtesy of Lynn Ban and Repossi and an Alex Mika ear cuff.

Rihanna didn’t leave the awards empty handed, as she bagged the first every Icon Award and she got the award for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist.

This is not wear it stops though. The Bajan beauty performed her hit single Diamonds in another Jean Paul Gaultier look, this time from his 2001 collection. Rihanna’s stylist Mel Ottenberg went deep into the archives for this number but it was a great choice. The artist paired the black-tuxedo dress inspired look with a jewelled choker and a pair of Manolo Blahnik sandals.

I want your comments ladies. Do you like Rihanna’s up-do for the AMA’s?
